A little peek at your baby
If you are pregnant, you will be offered the term ultrasound and the 20-week ultrasound as standard. These medical ultrasounds are intended to assess the development of your child. You will receive these ultrasounds around the 10th and 20th week of your pregnancy. You may find it a reassuring idea to check a little more often, or you are just very curious and want a peek. Then you can have an extra ultrasound performed in our ultrasound centre. The 2D fun ultrasound is then the simplest option.
2D ultrasound and black/white photos to take home
You can have a fun ultrasound performed from the 21st week of your pregnancy (after the 20-week ultrasound) until the due date. With a 2D ultrasound, flat photos are taken. Great for your scrapbook or to quickly show grandma and grandpa. During the ultrasound you hear the heart beating and you see your baby move. Would you like a more detailed image? Then you can opt for our 3D/4D ultrasound.
What does a 2D ultrasound cost?
From the moment that you are 21 weeks pregnant you can have a 2D ultrasound performed by us. You will not be reimbursed for this ultrasound because there is no medical indication. The costs amount to €50,- and the ultrasound takes around fifteen minutes. You will get two black/white photos to take home. Would you like more photos? You can get 5 additional for € 2.50. Although our ultrasound technicians do everything they can to make sure you have a good, fun ultrasound, you have to take into account that the ultrasound sometimes does not come out as desired. For example because your child is not positioned well.
